What is Breathwork?

Our breath is life. Our breath influences our physical and mental health.
In conventional medicine and in classical psychotherapy it is still underestimated as a therapeutic tool and the body is often not included. Breathwork is a general term for various breathing techniques. Conscious Connected Breathwork is a powerful breathing technique in which we release physical and emotional blockages. For a certain period of time, we consciously connect inhalation with exhalation without a pause, if possible through the mouth, and in doing so activate our nervous system. We move from the subconscious to the conscious and follow the impulses of our body - emotions, movements, sounds - no expectations but everything is allowed.


The great thing about it: in breathwork you only go as far as you and your body feel ready. During the integration phase of this work, there is a process of relaxation as the breath calms down again.  This is how you regulate your nervous system, relieve stress and strengthen your connection to yourself. In the sessions we practice meditation, somatic exercises and 30-45 minutes of breathwork. I will support you on your breathing journey by creating a safe space using words, touch (optional), and background music.
